Phenotypic Characterization of the Quantitative Traits of Magelang Duck in Sempu Hamlet, Magelang Regency

The aim of this research was to analyze the phenotypic characterization on quantitative traits Magelang ducks in Sempu Hamlet, Secang District, Regency. Duck has been designated by government as belonging original local family. material are 100 form four farmers Village, method is descriptive analysis. variable measured body weight (BW), length (BL), neck (NL), chest circumference (CC), and temperature (BT) duck entering production phase. This showed that average BW, BL, NL, CC, BT were 1,54 ± 0,14 kg; 58,89 2,05 cm; 15,28 1,45 33,57 1,23 40,59 0,89⁰C. Based results study, it can be concluded physical size between not much different from each other, farmer maintenance system similar. also characteristics active poultry, because moves more.
